The Ministry of Tourism & Legal Affairs, Discover Dominica Authority, and Dominica Community Tourism Association Inc (DCTA), in collaboration with the Country Style Community Tourism Network/Villages as Business (CCTN/VAB) will host a National Consultation on Community Tourism at the Public Service Training Centre, on November 7, 2012, from 3pm - 6pm.
The objectives of this consultation are to discuss issues and challenges encountered in the development of Community Tourism in Dominica; to discuss new initiatives in the field of Community Tourism and to forge important regional and international links and partnerships that are critical for the sustainable development of Community Tourism.
The main presenter is Ms. Diana McIntyre-Pike, Community Tourism Consultant and trainer, with over 37 years of experience in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry. Ms. Pike owns her own company, the Country style International Limited which also has a community-based organization – Country style Community Tourism Network (CCTN), and provides consultancy services in hospitality, tourism, marketing, public relations and community experience tours designing.
At the end of the consultation there will be an official launch of the country style Caribbean “Villages as Businesses” Dominica Chapter.
