The Commonwealth of Dominica has been identified as by the Ethical Traveler Organization as one of the World’s Ten Best Ethical tourism destinations for 2014. Two other Caribbean destinations, the Bahamas and Barbados, made the 2014 list. Other countries recognised for a variety of ethical characteristics by independent researchers, were Cape Verde, Chile, Latvia, Lithuania, Mauritius, Palau and Uruguay.
